Product Description: Soter is a lightweight multimedia conversion tool focused on image-to-video creation. Users can upload multiple local images, customize parameter settings, and convert image collections into exclusive short videos through our built-in conversion engine.

Age Restriction & User Eligibility

Soter image conversion service is exclusively reserved for users aged 18 and above. Any person under the age of eighteen is strictly prohibited from accessing, registering and using all functions of this application, including image uploading, video conversion and local downloading. The operator does not provide services for minors, nor does it actively collect any data related to underage groups. Users who violate the age rule shall bear all legal liabilities independently, and the operator reserves the right to permanently ban unauthorized accounts.

Acceptance & General Statements

This Privacy Policy serves as a binding legal agreement between Soter Operator (hereinafter referred to as “We”) and registered end users (hereinafter referred to as “You”). This document elaborates the entire management specifications for collection, processing, storage and protection of user data generated during the image-to-video conversion process.

Initiating image upload, enabling conversion functions and downloading generated videos mean that you have fully read, understood and accepted all terms of this policy. If you have objections to any clause, you have no right to use our multimedia conversion services.

Data Classification & Acquisition Scope

We adhere to the core principle of "zero redundant collection", only acquire data necessary to complete image transcoding and video synthesis, and never actively collect user sensitive information such as identity information, contact information and geographic location. The data involved in service operation is divided into the following two categories:

1. User Created Multimedia Content: All static picture files actively uploaded by you for conversion, and finished short videos automatically synthesized by the system based on user pictures and personalized parameter settings (frame rate, transition effect, image sequence). All multimedia content is owned exclusively by the uploading user.

2. Anonymous Operational Metadata: Non-identifiable data passively collected by the system, including device type, application access time, conversion task records, function error logs and page operation tracks. This type of data is summarized for overall product optimization and cannot be positioned to individual users.

Authorization & Legal Usage Boundaries

You grant us limited, revocable authorization to process your uploaded pictures and synthesized videos only for the purpose of executing image-to-video conversion tasks. We promise not to apply user multimedia content to advertising sales, data training, secondary creation and other additional commercial scenarios without separate written authorization.

Our legal usage scope is limited to task execution and product optimization: complete picture parsing, format adaptation, video encoding and synthesis; diagnose program crashes and conversion failure anomalies; count functional usage data to upgrade conversion algorithms and optimize user operation experience.

Data Retention & Secure Erasure Rules

Considering the multimedia privacy of user uploaded pictures and synthesized videos, we implement a dual-mode retention mechanism of local priority + temporary cloud cache:

All original pictures and completed videos are firstly stored in the user’s mobile device locally, and users have absolute control over local multimedia files. For users who enable temporary cloud cache to stabilize conversion tasks, uploaded pictures and unfinished tasks will be cached in encrypted cloud nodes, and the system will automatically clear all cached data within 12 hours after the video conversion task is completed.

Users can manually delete uploaded pictures and synthesized video resources at any time. After deletion, the cached data will be completely erased and cannot be recovered. Anonymous operation metadata will be cleared in batches every 15 days to reduce server storage pressure and data leakage risks.

User Independent Control Rights

As the sole owner of all uploaded pictures and synthesized videos, you enjoy full-cycle data control rights throughout the service use period: preview, sort and delete uploaded image resources before conversion; download, export or delete synthesized videos at will; disable the temporary cloud cache function at any time to prohibit the system from caching multimedia content; permanently revoke data processing authorization and stop all service access rights.

Data Sharing & Permitted Disclosure

We implement a strict zero-sharing policy for user private multimedia content. Under daily operating conditions, we will never share, sell, rent or trade your pictures and synthesized videos to any third-party enterprises, organizations or private individuals.

Data disclosure is only allowed under statutory extreme scenarios: responding to valid subpoenas, judicial rulings and official investigation orders issued by national competent authorities; taking emergency protective measures to prevent major network security accidents and personal property losses; protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the platform and legal users.

Service Constraints & User Obligations

When using Soter’s image-to-video conversion function, you shall abide by global relevant network laws and regulations. You are prohibited from uploading pictures involving pornography, violence, illegal crime, religious discrimination and copyright infringement. Users shall independently bear administrative penalties and civil compensation liabilities arising from illegal uploaded content.

Policy Update Notification Mechanism

We reserve the right to adjust partial clauses of this privacy policy according to algorithm iteration, cloud service upgrade and legal policy updates. All revised contents will be released on the privacy agreement page inside the application, with the modification time updated synchronously at the top of the page. Continued use of conversion services after the update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

Conflict Resolution Terms

Any disputes related to data privacy and service clauses shall be resolved via email negotiation between both parties in the first instance. If the negotiation fails, both parties agree to submit the dispute to the judicial authority where the operator is located for final adjudication. If a single clause of this policy is judged invalid due to legal changes, the remaining clauses shall remain fully effective.
